Choosing
a dentist is often influenced by values. For example, you may want to
go to a dentist that is close to home or work. However, be sure to
always consider a dentist’s qualifications when you need dental care. |

... because toothless is only cute when you are young!
|
The following quality indicators will help you make
an informed decision should you require any dental treatment.
 How do you judge quality?
Most
of us do more research when buying a car or a television than we do
when choosing a dentist or a doctor. This may be because we do not know
what questions to ask or what to base our decision on.
Quality
of care can be measured in many different ways, and no universal way
exists. At Bethesda Smiles we believe that you can use the following
points or quality indicators to compare dental providers:
Credentials: Dr.
Navabi and Dr. Hirschfeld are graduates of the University of
Pennsylvania, an Ivy League school, where they both graduated top of
their class.
Experience: Both
doctors have been practicing for several years. They have been trained
in Germany and the United States and hold degrees from both.
Range of
Service: Most dental
services can be provided right in our office without sending you to
another specialist.
Participation
in Continuing Education: Our
whole team participates in continuing education courses annually to
stay up to date in the dental field.
Patient
Satisfaction: Patients
always come first and are most important to us. We will do everything
we can to make all of your visits positive and stress free.
Outcome:
Extremely happy
patients!
First
Visit
Your
initial appointment will consist of a consultation and data gathering
so that a diagnosis and treatment options can be presented. We will
provide a comprehensive examination to help us determine treatment
needs. The comprehensive examination includes taking necessary x-rays,
evaluating your gums for periodontal disease, an oral cancer screening
that consists of examining lymph nodes, facial muscles, tissues, and
joints. We use the latest technology for your diagnosis and treatment.
Please assist us
by filling out and bringing the online forms.
If
you have x-rays from a previous dentist, you may request that they get
sent to our office via mail or email. If additional x-rays are
necessary, they can be taken at our office. |
